Dan’s interest in real estate sparked after a fateful meeting with his high school football coach, who was a broker with a real estate firm in his hometown. In his freshman year of college, unsure of what to do, Dan’s coach advised him to get his real estate license. Having passed the Michigan Real Estate Salesperson exam in2003, he has since joined the Lucas Howard Group family as an Inside Sales Agent. Dan grew up in Monroe, Michigan. After high school, Dan attended Michigan State University, graduating with a degree in Urban and Regional Planning in 2005. Upon graduation, Dan took a job as a field analyst in Columbus, Ohio. The job took him to 36 states and over 300 communities, producing market feasibility studies for developers, syndicators, and government agencies. Tired of traveling, Dan returned to Monroe and served as a realtor under his high school football coach. He moved to Grand Rapids after falling in love with the city on a business trip. Grand Rapids has been his permanent residence since 2016.

Dan has always had a fascination with real estate, even at a young age. His passion for helping others fits well with the Lucas Howard Group. When he is not pursuing his real estate passions, he enjoys spending time at his cottage snowboarding and being on the lake.
